Your details, kept simple

This notice explains how North Street (MOT's) Ltd ("we", "us"), trading as North Street MOT, uses personal information when you book with us online. We are the data controller.

What we collect

• Your name and phone number, and your email address if you give it.
• Your vehicle registration, and make and model if you give them.
• The service, date and time you book, plus any notes you add.
• Basic technical information (such as your IP address) in our server logs, used to keep the site secure.

Why we use it

To arrange and carry out the work you book, and to contact you about it. This is necessary to provide the service you have asked for. We use technical information for our legitimate interest in keeping the website and booking system secure.

Who sees it

Our team. When you book, the details are sent to our staff by email and/or a Telegram message so we can prepare for your visit. If you give an email address, your confirmation is sent through our email provider. If your vehicle has an MOT, the test result is recorded with the DVSA as the law requires. We never sell your information or use it for marketing without asking.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete them.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Google Maps only loads if you choose "Show map", and Google may then set its own cookies. Your browser remembers, for the current visit only, that you've already seen the opening animation.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
